On Nov. 8 at 6:48 p.m., Kokomo Police officers responded to the Meijer parking lot, located at 2301 E. Markland Ave., regarding a report of an attempted robbery.

Upon their arrival, officers spoke with 25-year-old Jennifer Culp of Kokomo. Ms. Culp reported she was attempting to back from a parking space at approximately 6:30 p.m. when a man approached her vehicle. The man then displayed a handgun, demanded cash and ordered her out of her vehicle. Ms. Culp then accelerated out of the parking lot leaving the suspect behind.

The suspect was described as a black male, mid to late 20's, wearing a light blue shirt and blue jeans. No one was injured in this incident. The suspect's direction of travel is unknown.
