We are so excited for Courtney to become a Boilermaker because she brings a hard-nosed, tough mentality and leadership qualities that we need from a point guard. She has great passing skills and knows how to set up the defense, whether it is in the half court or in the open floor, getting her teammates involved. She is a great all-around player. She fits our Purdue style and will add to our up-tempo pace. She is a three-sport athlete, has been elected class president all four years, is an honor roll student, an active member in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and makes it a point to give back to the community. ”

Versyp on Williams… “Dee Dee is one of the most versatile players that we have recruited. Her natural position is small forward. She is a slasher with the ability to drive to the basket to create her own shot and she should be one of the best defender’s on the team. Dee Dee can play point guard and shooting guard. Her athletic ability, her length and quickness can cause havoc for opponents. She has strong offensive and defensive skills, is an excellent ball handler and a strong rebounder. She is a very hard worker and will add to our up-tempo pace and defensive pressure. Her size will cause mismatch problems when playing the point or shooting guard position, which is a big asset. We are thrilled to have Dee Dee in our program. She always wanted to be a Boilermaker and we’re glad that the time is now here. She is an amazing person who gives a lot of herself to her school and community activities. Dee Dee has been on the honor roll every year and is involved with volleyball and many community service initiatives as well.”
